? 0-20°P hydrometer with temperature correction: This hydrometer serves to measure percentage extract during the brewing process. Once the wort extract at the end of brewing is measured, it is also used to measure the change in apparent extract during fermentation. This information can be used to calculate the theoretical alcohol percentage during and at the end of fermentation. The temperature correction functions to obtain a more accurate reading from the apparatus. The correction on Plato reading is done by adding or subtracting the value corresponding to the measured gravity range (horizontal ranges) and the sample temperature (vertical temperature values) Note: The smaller hobby hydrometer serves the same function as the hydrometer described above. It is just not as accurate as the larger version.
